 Helena Petre, MAAPA, BFRP
I am qualified in Clinical Aromatherapy, Indian head massage, Reiki levels I and II, Dreamwork counselling and Bach flower therapy. I’m experienced at working with clients suffering from stress; chronic conditions and long-term pain; life-threatening illnesses; learning difficulties; and addictions.
I currently practise at Nailsworth Natural Health Centre, and teach practical aromatherapy for
the Nelson Trust.
Bach Flower Therapy
The 38 Bach flower remedies are natural remedies obtained from native British plants. (While many people have heard of Rescue Remedy, they are not aware of the full range of remedies.) These simple substances work on the mind and emotions to alleviate short or long-term conditions such as anxiety, sleeplessness, worry, indecision and addictions. They are mild tasting, usually taken internally, but can also be given in other forms. Remedies can be recommended
individually or in combinations: these can be mixed at minimal cost.
Clinical Aromatherapy
Clinical Aromatherapy is the controlled use of high-quality essential oils, combined with massage and regular home use of oils. A typical first session requires one and a half hours, beginning with a confidential medical history and the choosing of appropriate essential oils. A deep-tissue massage follows, plus individually-tailored home advice and a hand-blended product for home use. For follow-up sessions, allow one and a quarter hours, or forty-five minutes for back, neck and shoulder massage. Note: certain oils are best used with caution. A professional aromatherapist can advise on contraindications.
(Please phone me beforehand to discuss any ongoing medical treatment.)

Indian Head Massage
Indian Head and Shoulder massage is a deeply relaxing yet invigorating form of massage that is performed on a seated person – with or without oils, with or without clothing. It is suitable for all age groups and most conditions. A first session takes around one hour (45 minutes for follow-ups) and starts with a brief health consultation. I will then massage the shoulders and upper back, arms, neck, head and face, using a
variety of different strokes, and using oils if desired.
