Thai Yoga Massage in Cirencester and Fairford in the Cotswolds with Eileen Ford-Price M.A.R.
During a period of stress and ill health in the 1980s, I started to look into complementary therapies. Tai Chi helped me to overcome severe joint problems so that I was able to study Shiatsu and Thai Yoga Massage, qualifying in in Thai Yoga Massage in 1996. Reflexology also ignited my interest and I became a qualified Reflexologist in 1997. I am a Full Member of the Association of Reflexologists and an Authorised Member of the Vertical Reflex Therapy Network. Over time I have gained experience of treating clients with a wide range of conditions, including chronic and acute musculoskeletal problems and people living with HIV.
What is Thai Yoga Massage?
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient system of healing that uses the energy lines of the body, also known as meridians. The practitioner applies pressure to these energy lines and acupressure points using palms, thumbs, forearms and even the feet, inducing a profound state of relaxation.
Thai Yoga Massage also involves gentle stretching and manipulation of the joints. A number of assisted yoga postures are used.
However, Thai Yoga Massage is more than a physical therapy: it is also beneficial emotionally and works to balance and harmonise the entire body. The rhythmic movement of the massage helps to clear energy blockages and thereby restore health and harmony.
The circulation is improved by Thai Yoga massage, leaving the receiver with a feeling of relaxation and mental alertness.
Who can benefit from Thai Yoga massage? Thai Yoga Massage is ideal for people who wish to increase their range of flexibility, such as sportsmen and women or yoga practitioners but is also deeply relaxing for everyone. The treatment can be adapted for those who find it difficult to lie on the floor.
